Book Review: Angels and Demons

Angels and Demons is the first book from The DaVinci Code's author, Dan Brown.

I read The DaVinci Code last week, what a book, but so many superlatives have been written about it I didn't write a review as I couldn't think of anything to add.

In Angels and Demons we are introduced to Robert Langdon, later to star in The DaVinci Code, as he is dragged into a mystery involving an ancient anti-church brotherhood, a nuclear research establishment and the very heart of the Catholic Church.

This book had me gripped as much as the DaVinci code did, as the action travels across Rome visiting the various sites, just as Jan and I did three months ago. Maybe this brought it more alive for me as the images of the sites that are described are fresh in my memory.

Just as in The DaVinci Code, there is an exquisite twist to the story. If the are making a film of The DaVinci Code (apparently starring Tom Hanks), then this book MUST be a strong candidate for the silver screen too.

Selling Out

As you may have spotted, I am now carrying adverts on this site.

They probably won't earn me a lot, only pennies I suspect. However, any contribution towards running the server is welcome. Especially as it looks like one of the hard discs is about to fail...

Hopefully the adverts are suitably low key to avoid affecting your enjoyment of this site. Feel free to click on them, but don't over do it as Google withraw ads if they detect "fraudulent clicks".
